Sunday service - discussion

Description

Founded in June 2016 by Revered Jeremy Hall, the First Cannabis Church of Logic and Reason holds non-denominational services stressing the healing potential of cannabis, the capacity for personal moral growth, and the value of community service. Rejecting traditional understandings of both church (as an edifice of theology) and religion (as a single system of faith/belief), the First Cannabis Church of Logic and Reason is part of a growing spiritual community in the United States that favors a collective space through which individuals can experience spiritual enlightenment without the expectations of an official creed. Like many cannabis churches, the First Cannabis Church of Logic and Reason, affirms that recognizing the unique spiritual needs of individual members, entails advancing a political agenda to expand the legal status of and access to cannabis.
